Quandl Stock Quote Connector

Quandl is a platform for financial, economic, and alternative data that serves investment professionals. Use Domo's Quandl Stock Quote connector to retrieve End-of-Day stock quote information from the WIKI dataset, which includes about 3000 U.S. stocks.

This data is updated daily, usually within 6 hours of the close of market.

You connect to your Quandl Stock Quote account in the Data Center. This topic discusses the fields and menus that are specific to the Quandl Stock Quote connector user interface. General information for adding DataSets, setting update schedules, and editing DataSet information is discussed in Adding a DataSet Using a Data Connector.

Best Practices

You should configure your Quandl Stock Quote DataSet to run once daily using Append data mode. 


To connect to Quandl account and create a DataSet, you must have a Quandl auth token (API key). To generate an API key, go to and choose to generate a new key.

Connecting to Your Quandl Stock Quote Account

This section enumerates the options in the Credentials and Details panes in the Quandl Stock Quote Connector page. The components of the other panes in this page, Scheduling and Name & Describe Your DataSet, are universal across most connector types and are discussed in greater length in Adding a DataSet Using a Data Connector.

Credentials Pane

This pane contains fields for entering credentials to connect to Quandl. The following table describes what is needed for each field:  



Auth Token

Enter your Quandl auth token (API key). For information about generating a token, see "Prerequisites," above.

Once you have entered a valid Quandl auth token, you can use the same account any time you go to create a new Quandl Stock Quote DataSet. You can manage connector accounts in the Accounts tab in the Data Center. For more information about this tab, see Managing User Accounts for Connectors.

Details Pane

This pane contains a single field in which you enter stock symbols for the stocks you want to pull data for.



Enter the Stock Symbol

Enter a comma-separated list of symbols for the stocks you want to retrieve information for. For example: aapl,msft,tsla
