SurveyGizmo provides SaaS-based online survey software. You can use Domo's SurveyGizmo connector to pull data about accounts, contacts, and surveys. To learn more about the SurveyGizmo API, go to

The SurveyGizmo connector is a "Cloud App" connector, meaning it retrieves data stored in the cloud. In the Data Center, you can access the connector page for this and other Cloud App connectors by clicking Cloud App in the toolbar at the top of the window.

This topic discusses the fields and menus that are specific to the SurveyGizmo connector user interface. For general information about adding DataSets, setting update schedules, and editing DataSet information, see Adding a DataSet Using a Data Connector.

Primary Use Cases

This connector enables you visualize the responses from a survey quickly, instead of having to read through each response. Most users who use this connector pull the "Survey Response" report.

Best Practices

Set your report to "Append" instead of "Replace" so that each new run of the DataSet will add onto the data from the previous run.


To connect to your SurveyGizmo account and create a DataSet, you must have a SurveyGizmo API key and API secret. You can find these credentials for your account by following these instructions:

Connecting to Your SurveyGizmo Account

This section enumerates the options in the Credentials and Details panes in the SurveyGizmo Connector page. The components of the other panes in this page, Scheduling and Name & Describe Your DataSet, are universal across most connector types and are discussed in greater length in Adding a DataSet Using a Data Connector.

Credentials Pane

This pane contains fields for entering credentials to connect to your SurveyGizmo account. The following table describes what is needed for each field: 




Enter the API key for your SurveyGizmo account.

API Secret 

Enter the API secret for your SurveyGizmo account. 

After you have entered valid credentials, you can use the same account in Domo any time you create a SurveyGizmo DataSet. You can manage connector accounts in the Accounts tab in the Data Center. For more information about this tab, see Managing User Accounts for Connectors.

Details Pane

This pane contains a primary Report menu, along with a Survey ID menu that appears depending on the selected report.




Select a SurveyGizmo report. The following reports are available:


Returns a list of all teams in the account.

Contact List 

Returns all contact lists for the account.


Returns a list of all surveys for the account.

Survey Campaign 

Returns a list of all campaigns and links for the specified survey. 

Survey Response 

Returns all responses for the specified survey.


Survey ID

Select the survey you want to retrieve information for.

Rate Limits

License-based accounts (accounts created on or after 01/17/2017) - 120 calls per minute
Legacy Basic accounts - 30 calls per minute
Legacy Professional - 60 calls per minute
Legacy Team & Enterprise - 120 calls per minute
