Domo consists of various components. The following screenshot shows the basic components that appear after you sign in to Domo in a Web browser.

You can learn more about these components in the following table:



Company logo

Represents your company in Domo. You can change your company logo in the Admin Settings. For more information, see Specifying Your Company Name and Logo.

Page tabs

Provide the organizational structure for pages in Domo. When you select a different page from the top row, any available subpages appear in the bottom row. For more information, see Understanding Pages.


Lets you search for a person, group, card, or discussion in Domo. For more information, see Searching in Domo.

Invite user

Lets you invite a user to Domo as a Social user. For more information about inviting users, see Inviting Others to Join Domo. For more information about Social users, see Social User FAQs.

Add to Domo


Provides a shortcut to adding many objects into Domo, including connector DataSets, Magic transforms, cards, pages, people and groupsprojects and tasks, and apps.

Main menu

Provides access to various tools, including Appstore, Publications, Data Center, Feedback, Admin, Help Center, and more. 

User profile menu


Provides access to your personal Profile and settings where you can add and update your basic personal information, set your profile picture, connect to social media services, set notification settings, sign out of Domo, and more. The menu also shows your most recent notifications. For more information see Profile Page and Customizing Notification and Alert Settings.

Buzz toggle

Toggles Buzz on or off in the application window. For information about Buzz, see Buzz.


Lets you start and join conversations, comment on cards and pages, upload attachments, and so on. For more information, see Buzz.


Displays your Domo data as cards or Domo App cards. For more information, see Understanding Pages.


Visualizations representing your data within Domo. Cards appear in pages, showing a summary of the content. To see details of the content, you can click a card to access the Details view. For more information about the Details view, see Card Details View Layout. There are many types of cards, including the following:

  • KPI card. Provides the default view for a chart in Domo. A KPI card packages a chart along with its most important summary information. You can get a closer look at a chart by opening its Details view. For more information, see KPI cards

  • Document card. Provides the default view for a file that you have uploaded to Domo. For more information, see Document cards

  • Notebook card. Contains plain text. You can create a notebook card by entering the text directly into Domo or by copying and pasting text from a text editor or word processor. For more information, see Notebook cards

  • Poll card. Contains question and answer choices. Other users can take these polls from their own Domo accounts. For more information, see Poll cards

  • Sumo card. Displays table data as standard column-based tables or more powerful pivot tables like those available in Microsoft Excel. For more information, see Sumo cards

  • Domo App card. Uses a combination of charts and images to represent data. For more information, see Domo App cards

Card Details view

Details views are available for all cards. In a card Details view, you have access to many additional options not available in pages. For more information, see Card Details View Layout.
